Changes to HBF's provider agreements effective 1 October 2023

Just a reminder, that on 1 October 2023, HBF’s provider agreements changed.

The HBF published fee schedule from this date, now only applies to WA.  All other states are to use the Access Gap Cover Schedule from AHSA for their state.

For all states other than WA, please ensure that you have configured HBF to use the AHSA Access Gap Cover schedule.

  1. Check the entry for the fund via Setup – Contacts – Health Funds.
  2. Edit the entry for HBF.

ACC pricing updates - 1 July 2024

Elective Surgery

Elective Surgery Services variation goes live on 1 July 2024. ACC have not informed us of the specific increase, however our calculations indicate the prices have increased by 6.3%.  You should confirm this rate before making changes using the percentage update option.

Unless you hold an Elective Surgery Contract, changes to the pricing for surgical procedures will be notified to you via your contract holder(s).

ACC Digital Services - Outage

ACC Digital Operations have advised the following:

"We are aware that there is currently an issue with the Create Invoice function only on eBusiness Gateway and this is preventing users from submitting invoices.

All other functions on eBusiness Gateway such as claim, invoice and remittance query is not affected.

We are looking into the cause and will advise as soon as this is resolved.

We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause."

Medicare Connection Offline

The issue being experienced yesterday with trying to connect to the Medicare servers via Claiming.com to verify patients appears to have been resolved.  We have not yet received notification from Claiming.com, but tests conducted by ourselves early this morning indicate that the problem has been resolved.

We are aware that clients are experiencing issues with online verification's and other online claiming issues with Medicare.  This issue is beyond our control.

Claiming.com have advised the following:

We are currently experiencing an outage in the connection from claiming.com.au to Medicare Online and as a result certain services are offline.

We are currently investigating and speaking with Medicare to get this resolved as quickly as we can. As soon as we have more information on this
