Structured prescriptions means that you are importing drug and dispensing data from a third party provider such as MIMS.

The prescription is structured with fields such as:

  • Doses
  • Quantities
  • Frequencies etc.

Only the Simple prescription layout is able to be used with the Structured drug list as the content in the medication may need to expand over multiple lines, which the Simple format allows.

Import the data file.

  1. Utilities > Import > MIMS - Import the MIMS data file




Configure the Provider options

  1. Setup > Provider > Config 3 > Edit
  2. Tick 'Structured Prescriptions' box
  3. Select 'Simple' print style.


Configure prescribing options

  1. In Setup > Prescriptions > Structured 
  2. Enter frequently used prescribing text in the different tabs similar to the examples below. 
    1. Prescription Dose


    2. Prescription frequency


    3. Prescription Quantity


    4. Prescription Instructions


    5. Prescription Comments – For special comments that can not be categorised in any of the above fields.
