You are able to use the ARTP merge codes to automatically insert relevant data into a letter to the referring doctor. The following is an example layout you may want to copy.
To create letter to the Referring Dr.
- In SETUP > TEMPLATES > LETTERS make a new Quick Code and call it something like 'ARTP'
- Position the cursor on the page where you want the text from the ARTP to be placed.
- Use the F9 key to select the appropriate merge field
- Click on OK to Save and Exit
- In PATIENT > LETTERS or DICTATION > TYPE make a new letter and under the patient's 're' details type the words ARTP in the left margin.Press the F8 key . The text will either automatically be inserted into the letter from the ARTP or you will be presented with a list of Quick Codes from which you will need to select the 'ARTP' Quick Code
