You are able to use the ARTP merge codes to automatically insert relevant data into a letter to the referring doctor.  The following is an example layout you may want to copy.

To create letter to the Referring Dr.

  1. In SETUP > TEMPLATES > LETTERS make a new Quick Code and call it something like 'ARTP'
  2. Position the cursor on the page where you want the text from the ARTP to be placed.
  3. Use the F9 key to select the appropriate merge field
  4. Click on OK to Save and Exit
  5. In PATIENT > LETTERS  or DICTATION > TYPE make a new letter and under the patient's 're' details type the words ARTP in the left margin.Press the F8 key .  The text will either automatically be inserted into the letter from the ARTP or you will be presented with a list of Quick Codes from which you will need to select the 'ARTP' Quick Code
