Health NZ require the HPI Organisation number for the entity requesting access to the data they hold.

A specialist, with their own business, will have a HPI Org ID. Each Provider in the specialist centre should apply to Health NZ for their own Client ID and enter the information into their configuration section. Nurses and staff will be able to use their delegated authority to access the data on behalf of the Provider.

If the business entity employs the Providers, it is the entity that needs to seek authorisation.

If the business entity has different locations that they provide services from, the HNZ on-boarding form will require the HPI Facility ID for each location.

Individual HPI CPN numbers, for the staff, are not required. The Operator login ID will be uploaded with the search request.

On-boarding

Each entity with a HPI Organisation ID needs to use the Health NZ On-boarding form to apply for access to the NHI related data they hold.

The following link will provide information about on-boarding: https://incisive.atlassian.net/wiki/external/M2JlMmE3YWM4MTgyNDY3OWI1ODY3YTk1ZWU0YWE2ZDA

Configuring Client ID & Client Secret

When your application is approved, Health NZ will provide you with a Client ID and a Client Secret value. Both these values need to be entered for each Provider in Setup > Provider > HNZ NHI FHIR
