Scanned documents not being sent with ARTP

Some operators have experienced that when they attach a scanned document to an ARTP, the content of the scanned documetn is not visible in the ARTP preview screen and also the scanned document does not get delivered to the intended recipient even though the rest of the report and attached notes do.

ARTP documents are sent via the Healthlink messaging network.  This network has a limitation of the size of the files that can be attached.

Where the problem has occurred we have found that the size of the scanned documents is very large (>5MB) and cannot be delivered via the Healthlink network.  Often the documents were scanned using the 'Colour' setting.

Solutions are to scan the documents again using Black & White settings at 300dpi or if the originals are no longer available, print the documents from SPM/PHM and scan them back in again using the B&W setting.
